We first opened our cafe in 1981, serving spare produce from our farm served up in freshly baked wholemeal rolls and scones produced on the woodstove in our kitchen. The "dining room" was our own living room. More than forty years later, the cafe is now owned by our youngest daughter, Nancy, who has taken the catering way beyond its humble beginnings though still using salads and fruit fresh from the farm. Whenever possible, all the ingredients are produced in the islands or in Cornwall and there is a wide range of Scilly brewed ales, ciders, wines and spirits. Friday Nights
New for 2025 we are changing our Friday evening offering from our usual Bistro nights to a series of themed 'Pop Up' restaurant nights from Chef Elliot Vassallo. These will focus on using the very best of seasonal produce from around Scilly and will change weekly...anything from local seafood menus, Italian themed nights, classic Steakhouse nights, etc. Starters, mains and desserts are brimful of healthy, local food accompanied by wines, beers, ciders and juices produced in the islands. Pop Up nights will be advertised a week in advance and bookings are 'first come first served' so give us a call as soon as you see one you like! The Cafe
Our cafe is open Monday to Saturday (ie closed Sunday) from 10.30-4.00 offering al fresco dining or inside seating on less clement days. Morning coffees with home-made cakes; soup, salad lunches or our home-made burgers with chips and salad; seafood, dairy, vegetarian and meaty options catered for. Salad, eggs, fruit and vegetables come straight from our own farm, the rest being locally sourced from Scilly or Cornwall. Try our local crab rolls with salad.
Enjoy a ginger Pimms whilst savouring the view from our patio. Try a bottle of wine or cider from the vineyard next door or indulge in a milk shake using St Agnes icecream.
Pizza Night
Monday night is Pizza night. We offer a range of toppings of your choice on freshly baked pizzas. Tell us what you want by Monday midday and pizzas will be ready for collection or delivery on the island later that evening. An easy supper after a hard day sight-seeing.
