Garden Party Honour
June 2014 saw us making our first visit to London in 39 years when we were invited to the Queen's garden party. Travelling up to the capital on the Riviera Express, we arrived in the early hours of the morning and made our way across the city taking in the usual sightseeing stops. After lunch at the Duchy of Cornwall headquarters at Palace gate, we made our way across to Buckingham Palace gardens and the tea party where, along with five other couples, we were presented to the queen and Prince Phillip - despite the rain, a memorable day and a great honour.
